Ali Peret grew up in New York City where he studied art and social sciences at The New School for Social Research in Manhattan.
In 1974 he moved to Southern California where explorations with painting, wood/stone carving, and silk screening led to his fascination with jewelry.
Ali discovered the Oregon Coast in 1976 whilst visiting friends. After two weeks he decided to abandon California for Lincoln Beach where a small sponsorship paved the way for Ali to study jewelry design and fabrication at Thundering Seas in Depoe Bay. Through this opportunity, Ali discovered his life long passion.
Ali established his jewelry business in Troutdale, Oregon 1990 and currently shares space with two other galleries.
Ali’s success reflects the importance of designing jewelry that is tailored to the client’s lifestyle. He loves to collaborate with clients in restyling old family treasures and will also incorporate gems they have brought back from world travels.
All About Adventure Excursions
Join us in exploring some of Oregon’s most beautiful waterways and enjoy an exceptional fishing experience.
Our knowledgeable guides have over 30 years of fishing experiences and are here to connect you to the best fisheries in the Northwest.
Where We Fish
Columbia River – With over 1,000 miles of flowing water from the mouth of the river in Astoria, Oregon to the headwaters in British Columbia, Canada, the mighty Columbia River offers many fishing opportunities for bass, salmon, sturgeon and walleye. Our primary fishing locations are:
- Lower Columbia River from Buoy 10 in Astoria to the Bonneville Dam,
- Bonneville to The Dalles Dam,
- The Dalles to John Day Dam, and
- John Day to McNary Dam projects.
While fishing the upper stretches of the Columbia River, there are many chances to see incredible natural waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge and to appreciate the rugged beauty of the High Desert landscape east of the Cascade Mountain range. Nature also shows off regularly on the Columbia River with opportunities to see bald eagles, ospreys, migrating waterfowl, deer and other marine mammals from the water.
Willamette River – One of the largest tributaries of the Columbia River, the Willamette River offers a unique fishery where you can connect to nature right out Portland’s back door. Flowing through the Willamette Valley and connecting many of Oregon’s major cities, the Willamette River has many fishing opportunities for bass, salmon, sturgeon and walleye. Our primary fishing location on the Willamette River extends from Oregon City to the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers at Kelly Point Park. While fishing on the Willamette, you could see an epic waterfall, industrial shipbuilding and natural volcanic formations located along the river. The Willamette River also provides visitors perfect water for paddle boarding, water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, and swimming.

Bonneville Lock & Dam, built and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was the first federal lock and dam on the Columbia and Snake rivers. The project’s first powerhouse, spillway and original navigation lock were completed in 1938 to improve navigation on Columbia River and provide hydropower to the Pacific Northwest. A second powerhouse was completed in 1981, and a larger navigation lock in 1993.
Today, the project is a critical part of the water resource management system that provides flood risk management, power generation, water quality improvement, irrigation, fish and wildlife habitat and recreation along the Columbia River.
A Public Works Administration project of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal, portions of Bonneville Lock and Dam Project were declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
National Historic Landmark
Bonneville’s significance is based on the Colonial-Revival style architecture of the administration building and auditorium, the unique engineering design, the contribution to the region’s industrial development, the lock’s role in transportation, the entrance landscaping, and the role of Bonneville as a major government undertaking in the 1930s to provide jobs during the Great Depression.
Bonneville Lock and Dam is named for Army Captain Benjamin Bonneville, an early day visionary who led an exploration to the Oregon Country and charted extensive sections of what became the Oregon Trail.
